Hello there poker fans, this is your favorite poker reporter Cliff “Runner Runner Chaser” McDougal. It’s amazing how a year can change everything. Last year I had a house, a wife and 3 kids (well 12, but seeing I don’t pay attention to the others, they don’t matter) and now I have no house, no wife and no kids. Who says life doesn’t get better?
But let’s look at how they change in poker, as that’s what I’m supposed to talk about. Last season Mike and Bobby went on an unheard of run of beating Kyle and Smallers in a heads up challenge. This was after Chris D famously quit on Bobby because he wasn’t playing poker the way he should. By should, we mean has he always had. This departure left Chris with the lowest average in BB Poker history and him begging Kevin not to show up to the last game. A season later and man things have changed, Smallers misses one event because of a scrap booking party he double booked and Chris was the call up to be on team with Roos. So what happens? Bad Boys fucking happening!! That’s right, these two team up and win the side bet event.
Team Ryetarded looks to be in trouble, Bobby (aka Jamarcus Russell) who is playing like a person that should never been a first pick and Mike has to miss an event due from exhaustion for carrying the team. Sensing weakness, Roos doesn’t even hesitate by dropping Smallers and keeping Chris on his team. Then these two sons of bitches call out the B squad of Bobby and Smallers.
So we walk into the 3rd event with a lot of uncertainty if Team bad Boys beats team B Squad, the poker gods will not be kind to Bobby and Smallers. They will have a month of listening of why they suck. But this also creates an issue, when Mike gets back from rehab, will he keep Bobby on his team or will he decide to go another route and disband the onetime juggernaught of a team. Only time will tell and by my watch, this could be a real possibility.
Only 2 things are for certain, one is that Bryan and Mark will always be the worst hosts in BB Poker History. The second is that this song will get stuck in your head and will be played many times Saturday night.
