Hey, welcome to the new BBPT blog.  Let’s get right to it.

There are a few improvements making their debut in season IV, such as:

• A new, slightly modified blind structure that will not affect the start to middle of tournaments, but will speed up things towards the end of it, with the introduction of fast 5 and 7 minute blinds at the end of the tournament, when blinds are the largest.
• In the case of a first place season ending tie, the two players will play a heads up match to determine the season champion.
• A new bonus payout for people finishing out of the top four on the season.  This one will be a random draw based on players’ average minutes played.
• 3rd place finishers will now get paid in the monthly tournaments (provided there are at least 10 participants)
• New live scoring system which will immediately update the website upon completion of the tournament – no more waiting for updates.
• Automatic Twitter updates of knockouts which will allow fans worldwide to follow the action.

What won’t change is the ultra high level of poker that fans of the BBPT have come to expect from this league.
