Hello there poker fans, this is your favorite poker reporter Cliff \u201cRunner Runner Chaser\u201d McDougal back from what many would call a week in hell, I prefer to call it a weekend with my mother law. Its amazing how one person can point out all your faults when they are on their 12 rye and ginger and 7th husband. Welcome to our first ever pod cast and I expect big things from this and by big I mean mother in law big.
\nSo let\u2019s talk the first tourney. In a surprise turn of events Kevin bailed and Adam no showed on the first event of the year and instead went to a pottery class together. Rumour is that they re-enacted the scene from ghost, but added a twist with them both naked and creating a clay sculpture of the \u201cblack hammer\u201d.<\/p>\n

Big Boy Poker had their first ever Draft and to say in was intense was an understatement. I wasn\u2019t able to make the draft as I was being reminded that I drive too fast and that a real man doesn\u2019t do meth. Our Big Boy Poker correspondent Johnny \u201cWhat Beats Ace High\u201d Swanson was there and he had this to report. Take it away Johnny!
\nWell Runner Runner this was a night of first. First we had Kyle winning the first overall pick. With that pick he decided to keep it in the family and choose Danny who had already pleaded with Kyle not to take him. When asked why he didn\u2019t want to go to that team, Danny replied \u2018he\u2019s yells at me enough already and now when I make a mistake it\u2019s now costing him money. I don\u2019t need this\u201d. Jeff T picked Dan L with his first pick and many agree this could be the best pick of the draft. Unless he tries to play Mike when he has 7 4 off suite and that never goes well. Mike decided to forget the past and take Bobby with his first pick. Many were surprised and the onlookers where wondering if he was answering the question on who not to pick. Then it went downhill from here and by downhill we mean a \u2018what the fuck were you thinking\u201d move made by Darryl. Deciding that he needed someone that has a history of holding the cup, he picks Chris D with his first pick. Problem is that Chris has never won the cup and has put a jinx on his poker play for the 2nd year in a row. The entire poker community was in shock but what can you do, he then took Sean with his next pick and Chris reminded him that Sean was picked after him. In the \u2018Man I\u2019m Glad I\u2019m Not That Guy\u201d category, Darren was not only the last pick of the room, but he was also picked after guys who never played in this league before. Darren was on a suicide watch for the majority of the tourney.<\/p>\n

As well the teams were also named by their captains and here is the breakdown of the awesome team names. Kyle has chosen a great name to honour one of his players. His team is \u2018Hurricane Downgraded to Tropical Thunder\u201d. Mike named his team in what many believe is him answering a question about his poker play. That team is called \u2018The Ryetards\u201d. Darryl going for the names that make no sense decided to call the team \u201cTeam Discovery Channel\u201d many think this is what his team watches after they get knocked out. The bookies in Vegas had Jeff T team called \u2018The Mathletes\u201d and guess what? They were wrong. Jeff decided to use the loser lounge conversation as a basis for his team. He has decided to call his team \u201cWWJAAD\u201d. In case you weren\u2019t there, the letters stand for \u201cWhat Would Jesus and Aliens Do\u201d. Don\u2019t be shocked to see little Jesus and or Alien bobble heads at these players\u2019 tables in the upcoming months.
